After 9 years I have decided to close the group Parents for Autism. Over the last few years I have juggled my job and other voluntary roles as well as caring for my son.

When I first set the group up there was very little support out there which is why it was my passion to set this up. Over the years the group has gone from a small acorn to a huge tree and I have been concerned because I cannot keep this going.

Through setting up the group I have met some lovely people who I am lucky to call my friends and we have supported each other through every step of our journeys, but I feel it is the right time to hang my hat up now.

12th November will be the last evening session for Parents for Autism and I would like this to be a celebration and goodbye event and would be great to see many of you.

2nd April is Autism Awareness Day and this will be a huge all day event with lots of support, advice and information under one roof.

I want to take this opportunity to thank you all for making this group a success I have enjoyed and am proud of what we have achieved.
